This is my pathetic attempt to capture the rainbow 'halo' around the sun this afternoon. Kevin noticed it first and then the kids all took turns looking through my polarized sunglasses to see the colors better. It was a complete circle rainbow in the haze of the very high, thin clouds with the colors reversed-red on the inside progressing out to blue and then white on the outside edge. Not something we see everyday....

Pictures of the sun are pretty hard to get I am sure. At least, you posted your own picture even if it wasn't what you had hoped for ;)
